Purchasing a home that was built in 2001. Ac unit is 2 and a half ton. Not sure of age of outside unit but looks old. Furnace looks fairly new. Thermostat is old it is not digital. We turned on the breaker box and tried to turn on heat and air and it kept flipping the circuit the home inspector was unable to check it since it kept blowing that circuit. The inspector stayed for an hour and half. The agent and I stayed a little bit after that so the agent could have the inspection papers on my file and then we could shut everything down but we tried the hvac system again and it ran the ac just fine. I am trying to figure out why it was blowing circuit and how to fix it.
