Hardwood Floor

James J. Bristol, TN

These items can be done anytime before the 20th. Remove baseboards If removing baseboards is not a viable option, cut floors along edge of baseboards. Remove one layer of flooring on both floors and stack wood on lower end of porch. Install 1/4" x 8 ft x 4 ft. plywood underlayment, about 16 sheets on ground floor only. Remove and install new bullnose at top of stairs. Would prefer these items to be done beginning early morning on the 20th through noon on the 26th, if possible. I just wanted to be there when this was done. Install about 1000 sq. ft. of oak flooring throughout the house. Sand and apply 3 coats of stain on all flooring and stairs. Install transitional moldings. (I ordered threshold and t-moldings that should arrive any day.) Reinstall all baseboards and moldings. ------------------------------------------------------- We can put these items on hold if you don’t have enough time: 3/4 round poplar floor moldings sanded, painted, and installed at bottom edge of baseboards. 25 feet of 8-inch baseboards sanded, painted, and installed downstairs next to fireplace, in kitchen, and behind upstairs toilet.

The existing tub needs to be removed and a roll-in tiled shower - pan and 3 walls approx. 90" tall - installed in it's place with a minimal threshold. I will supply the materials. I need a price for labor to install it. The dimension of the shower space is approx. 60"x30". The bathroom floor is on a concrete slab. There will need to be a small 5" or 6" ramp up to the shower threshold, then the floor will need to slope to the drain.
