1) COMPOSITE DECKING: I realize many of the structural components cannot be composite. Most research states that any color composite decking fades to gray, so gray decking with screws (NOT nails) to start with is the best choice for us I think. That means non-composite parts of the deck will either be hidden, painted gray, or "clad" in composite decking material. Please include in any estimate the price to paint the deck with high heat tolerance gray paint for the non-composite parts OR the cost of cladding the parts with composite decking if this is not included in the base estimate. 2) SPIRAL STAIRCASE: I am not concerned about the specifics, only that the staircase is spiral, has composite material steps, and saves us room on the lower footprint. It should be in roughly the same place as the staircase is now with plenty of space to leave the hot tub where it currently sits. 3) CABLE RAIL SYSTEM: The cable rail setups look great and I want one of these rather than a traditional runner/post rail. The posts can be metal or composite or clad as above. I am, again, not worried about specifics, only that the deck has posts with a cable rail for the upper deck. 4) ARBOR: The deck should have an arbor style covering over the portion of it that includes the door into the kitchen. The slats should be oriented to block as much of the afternoon sun as possible. The specifics are not that important although using composites would be best. How much of the deck is covered is not critical but should run from one end of the deck to a point well past the door into the kitchen. I think this will come out to roughly one third of the deck.
