Plumbing Work

Stacy H. Bethlehem, PA

I have very old, probably antique, bathtub handles. That look like a star. The hot one doesn't shut off completely and leaks and is broke which i tired to gorilla glue but didn't work and I have to use pliers to shut it off and it still leaks. Other plumbers have told me 1) they can't help me because the set is so old they don't have the parts or 2) the set is so old that it will cost them hundreds to order and plus I need to replace the pipes also. I don't think that's the case. I think it's because they want me to spend a lot more money and I can't do that because I don't have it. I'm a single mother of 2 teenagers. I'm barely getting by. But I need this fixed so my water bill will go down. I can't keep paying for a high water bill because I can't get the handles fixed. It's a no win situation I'm desperate for TRUE help.
