While selecting the equipment that you need for your heating and cooling system, think about the capacity. This will depend on the size of your home. Perhaps it is worth mentioning that capacity can always be adjusted accordingly, so you have a lot of room for flexibility here. Efficiency of the Oregon City heating and cooling system is another issue that affects the cost. The more efficient your heating and cooling unit is, more likely it is that it could cost you more upfront, but save you on a lot of money on long term. Another thing that is tied to efficiency is the level of noise that will be produced by the Oregon City heating and cooling system. The newer units are usually less noisy as compared to the earlier models. In fact, upgraded models are fairly quieter.

Oregon City County Heating and Cooling FAQ

One of the most important things of maintaining Oregon City heating and cooling systems is to ensure there is unrestricted flow of air. Debris, dust and dirt happen to be the most common and worst detriment to the effectiveness and efficiency of most heating and cooling systems in Oregon City. It doesn't matter whether your heating and cooling system is indoors or outdoors. You have to make sure the filters are cleaned and there are no restrictions on the coils and heat exchangers.
Regular replacement of the Oregon City heating and cooling filters is mandatory for the system to operate at its peak capacity. Other than that, this also makes it easier for the heating and cooling to improve the quality of the air indoors. Remember that while replacing the heating and cooling filters, you will also be going one step further in protecting your home from germs, allergens and dust.
The frequency of replacing your heating and cooling depends on a number of factors, but most importantly the type of filter you are using. There are some filters that should be replaced weekly, while others can last longer and require replacement on a monthly basis. Our current furnace & A/C units are 20 years old and I'd like a quote to replace them with more efficient units. I also have a gas wall heater that needs repair. We live across from Greene Township Elementary.

Ducts & Vents

Kasie R. Lake Oswego, OR

I am selling my home and the buyers have submitted a wish list with some HVAC work requested. The house was built in the 1940s. The HVAC was recently replaced (February 2014). However, there is no duct work on the second floor of this 2-story home. The house has both an unused chimney and closets where the duct work could be run. They would also like a few minor things corrected. Here is the wording from the contract: "HVAC--secure power supply to the house and cover exposed wiring; fix and repair ductwork in the crawl space, disconnected ducts and damaged insulation on ducts, check and repair low flow to the sunroom, and have ductwork run to both upstairs rooms to allow heating and cooling on the 2nd floor." I know this is a lot of details, and if you need to come out to assess the situation before giving an estimate that would be fine. I wanted to get this all in writing to you and then we could follow up with a phone call or email. Thank you for your time!
