Central Heating

Would prefer heating and air combination if possible. Home is about 900 square feet. Once was heated with an oil circulator, removed about 10 years ago. Been heating with small electric heaters ever since. Due to size, wondering if an inside unit would work best.

Central AC

Frank L. Lakewood, OH

My heat pump outside unit has been shutting down during the hot part of the day. The inside blower stays on. If you cycle the thermostat off, wait few min and cycle on, the unit will resume normal operation for a few hours and if it is still hot outside will shut down again. It runs fine at night when it is able to catch up and kick off but I'm guessing when it has to run 6hrs continuous it has an issue. I wonder if the outside unit is overheating (low charge?)and a thermal cut out is shutting it down or maybe the fan is going bad and shutting down? Did not replace the thermostat as it 'seems' to be working.

Swap out R22 heat pump for R410 unit (which I provide). Current air handler compatible with new R410 unit (not in the attic). Need Est: Chemical purge of lineset & Evap/Coil; Nitrogen test pressurize; Copper line set & misc. fittings; Approx 2 lbs R410 to top off system. I will dispose the old unit.
