Richland County Metal Roofing FAQ

When applied with solid sheathing, a metal roof on your house will silence noise coming from bad weather better than other roofing materials.
Due to the fact that metal roofing is a premium material, you will probably have your new roof to cost somewhere around two to three times more than an asphalt shingle roof costs. However, a metal roof can be compared in price to tile roofing or cedar shake roofing. If you happen to already have a slate roof, the metal roof will probably cost less.
A metal roof is able to stand up to a long time of exploitation from severe climatic conditions like storms, heavy snow, hailstorms, and in many cases wildfires. Metal roofing has a 140-mph wind rating, which means it can actually tolerate gusts of wind as much as 140 miles per hour. In areas that see heavy snow, metal roofing has become the choice of homeowners for years. It sheds snow fast, which often insures the structural strength of the roof. Plus, it can get rid of ice damming at the eaves, so water cannot back up and collect beneath the roof then drip into your home. If you happen to live in a region that could be at risk of wildfires, metal roofing can safeguard your home should burning embers land on your roof.

Hello, I work during the day and have dogs in my back yard which will not allow entry for the estimator, to get in the back yard to measure any of the roof. Unless I am there to put the dogs in &I work daily til 5:00pm daily. However it, if they get on the roof from the front to measure there wouldn't be a problem. I am a mom on a limited budget as I'm sure you have heard people say many times, however it is looking to me like my roof may need to be replaced soon. So I would like to get an estimate on materials and labor to do so. I would really like a metal roof if it isn't too much more than asphalt shingles however that is just a thought right now, as I am not sure what I am going to be able to afford or how soon? It really needs to be done, obviously I could probably afford more in the spring after the holidays if it can get me through the winter without any problems such as leaks ect. But I need a professional opion and some estimates if at all possible. Thank you! I am also aware that the rain gutters needs to be cleaned, however I will be doing that myself, hopefully sometime in the next week. When I can borrow a friends ladder to do so.nI would obviously like to know ahead of time when someone would be going out to look at it and give me an estimate, due to the dogs. I have just started shopping around, in fact you are the first company I have contacted for this. Please give me a call at your earliest convience so we can make arrangements. Thank you! Oh and I guess I should ask if they are free estimates? I just want the basic ribbed metal sheets, nothing fancy if I do go that route. Thanks again!
