How Much Does it Cost to Service a Septic Tank in Bernardsville?

Septic tanks play a major role in keeping your wastewater underground and flowing into the sewage system. It does not matter if you own a new house or an old one. The need to regularly have your septic tank pumped is crucial to keep it operational. This task is not like your usual home chores that you can do on your own. Septic pumping requires the expertise of professionals that can provide septic service in Bernardsville. Bernardsville septic service providers are dedicated in keeping septic tanks clean and functional. Your septic tank is responsible for holding sludges and scums and prevents them from getting into the soil absorption area. After 3 or more years, these sludges can be too much for your septic tank to hold. That’s why a septic service in Bernardsville is needed to pump the septic tank and clear the sludges. A septic tank that has not been pumped can cause pooling of water in your outside area, specifically in those areas near the drain. Foul odors will be smelled on your kitchen and toilets. You will also notice that it is quite difficult or relatively slow to drain your toilet. Sewage backups that are commonly seen as black with bad smell will overflow in your property. If you want to avoid this problem, you should call a professional Bernardsville septic service right away.

Bernardsville County Septic Service FAQ

The answer to this question depends on the size of the household and how they use the system. Factors like the number of people residing in your home, the frequency of garbage disposal use, age of the system etc. will determine how many times you have to clean your septic tank in a year. On average, a septic tank should be cleaned every 2 to 3 years. However, if you have a garbage disposal, you may need to clean your septic tank annually.
Maintaining your septic system requires regularly scheduled pump outs and satisfactory bacteria presence to aid in the digestion of organic solids. Neglecting proper maintenance will result in system distress, and ultimately, system failure.
Yes. If you have a system that is failing, an improperly working leach field or drainage area, a smaller than standard system or a system overstressed by the use of a garbage disposal, it may be necessary to have the system pumped more frequently. High water conditions may also mean more frequent pumping. At least until the problem causing the high water is resolved.

Kathy W. Woodbridge, NJ

My Husband and I are considering purchase of a lot that has a dwelling on it. The dwelling at one time, was lived in But, from neighboring owners, said NO One has live on that lot/dwelling for OVER 10 Years. We have no idea what condition the current septic system is, and the current owners claim they also have no idea. Would like to purchase the lot. BUT very concerned about what it would cost to rebuild and have the lot useable/liveable again before we purchase the lot. Do not know if there is such a thing as an Septic inspections? to help determine the condition of a septic system? Or should we assume it needs to be replaced? and would like to know our options BEFORE we buy the lot. If you can help, please call me at 574 214 6644 I would really like to know what options you can offer. Thanks. Mrs. Tim Workman, "Kathy".

Install/Repair Water Heater

Laurel S. Woodbridge, NJ

The second element on our water heater appears to be too corroded to replace...but the one element works OK for a very short shower - but it doesn't heat water for very long. We may' need to have the water heater evaluated to see if it must be replaced OR to see if someone can work with the corroded element - can it be removed ?
