Drainage Work

Deon B. Sartell, MN

I think we might need French drains for our house. We get water in the basement every time it rains hard or the snow melts. It seems to be from ground water. We think its because our house was built with foam and cement structures on three sides of the house and the fact that we are on a slope. We only usually have trouble on the north and east sides of the house. The house faces east and the slope goes down from east to west so that we have a walk-out basement. If we cant fix the problem any other way, we would need a drain in front of half of the house (because the garage area doesnt flood) and around the north corner and down the slope. The house is about 1500 sq. feet per level. Thanks.
