How Much Does it Cost to Service a Swamp Cooler in Arnold?

A swamp cooler Arnold is a cooling system that typically uses water evaporation to cool down a home. The idea is that when water changes its form from water to gas through evaporation, it absorbs the heat from the surroundings, leaving the temperature cold. A Arnold swamp cooler has a lot of benefits to offer. First, it is proven to be energy-efficient because it only uses up to 75% electricity as compared to a standard air conditioning unit. Most swamp coolers today operate using 120-volt power which is far less than the regular air conditioner use. Second, swamp coolers are eco-friendly because they do not use refrigerants that emit greenhouse gasses. Third, if a swamp cooler Arnold is damaged, you will find the repair cost is cheaper. The same goes for maintenance and cleaning. Fourth, a swamp cooler can improve the quality of air in a room because of the air filtering feature. Swamp coolers have moist pads that can effectively trap dust, dirt, and other allergens. Lastly, they do not need any ductwork system. Some swamp coolers can even be fitted in windows with very little installation efforts needed.

Fair price breakdown

Two major factors affect the cost of a swamp cooler Arnold installation. That is the cooler size and the location of where it will be installed. The size of your home can add to the cost too. It is only logical to think that if you have a large home, you will need a larger Arnold swamp cooler. The bigger the unit, the more expensive it will be. A 2,000 square foot home that has an 8-foot ceiling typically needs a swamp cooler that can produce around 480000 cubic feet. You will save a lot of money if you purchase a much smaller unit. However, buying a small swamp cooler can be pointless if it does not have the capacity to cool your home. It can be effective if you only want to cool down just a small portion or particular room in your home.

The location of the swamp cooler Arnold can also affect the cost of the project. There are swamp coolers today that can be purchased without any need for installation. You can just plug them, place them anywhere in your home, and they will start working. On the other hand, a swamp cooler that needs duct work has to be installed in attics or basement. This requires professional and meticulous work.

Arnold County Swamp Cooler FAQ

There are many different swamp coolers to choose from. You can purchase window units that can fit your window, portable units that can be placed anywhere, ducted roof mount units to be placed on your roofs, and ground mounted units that are typically placed in basements or outdoors.
Determining the size of your swamp cooler will depend on the size of your home. The bigger the area to be cooled, the bigger the swamp cooler needed. Make sure to take this into consideration to ensure that you only purchase the right cooling system for your needs.
Like all other cooling systems, swamp coolers also need regular maintenance. Larger units are required to be generally maintained at the start of the cooling season and around the end of Fall depending on your location. It is important that you have all the necessary tools like screwdrivers and wrenches to be able to maintain your swamp cooler. Maintenance may require you to open up your unit, especially when applying oil to the motor.

I have a 26 year old 2 speed Lennox system with an intermittent problem, which I would like to describe a little bit and then ask a few questions. The ACCU is model HS14-411V-3P, nominal 3 ton unit. The compressor was replaced under warranty 21 years ago. The system has had a few problems and repairs over the years, but I am generally happy with it and would like to keep it going if possible and economically feasible. Current issue: Sometimes the indoor fan coil unit will run continuously for hours, while the ACCU will not come on. When this is occurring, I can hear a "click" at the ACCU, like it is trying to start, but doesn't. Five minutes or so later, I can hear the same "click", but no go. Sometimes moving the thermostat to a lower temperature setting will cause the ACCU to come on and start cooling. Sometimes the ACCU doesn't seem to know when to stop … with the thermostat set to maintain about 75 degrees, it may continue to run until the room temperature is 72 degrees or less, by which time my wife or I will manually move the thermostat to get it to stop running. Since this is an intermittent problem, I have been reluctant to call anyone out to look at, for fear it would be working properly at the time of the service visit. While I have never been a customer of yours, I have recently read some good reviews and recommendations about your company, and would like to ask what your service call charge is, if any, and your warranty policy. If you could please advise at your earliest convenience, I will probably want to set up an appointment for you to take a look at it.
