Mariana B. Hagerstown, MD

Hello,n nI'm buying a home and the inspector brought some concern regarding the basement. Please read his concerns below:n nThere is evidence of water in the basement and a moisture problem that should be evaluated and can facilitate the growth of anvariety of molds that can promote unhealthy conditions . The area of most concern is the rear of the building, near the slidingnglass door. The wood siding is deteriorating and there was moisture in the basement around the sump pump closet. Moisturencould be entering from the deck area due to the lack of ledger board flashing, a lack of sill pan flashing on the second floor slidernand a lack of proper flashing around the slider and side entry door at ground level. Recommend having the area furthernevaluated for repair prior to settlement including removal of the wood siding to expose insulation and wall studs, removal of foamninsulation on the foundation walls and removal of deck trim & doors where flashing is missing.n nI'd like a quote for the "removal of the wood siding to expose insulation and wall studs, removal of foam insulation on the foundation walls and removal of deck trim & doors where flashing is missing." Please let me know how much it would be to have this removed and put back together. We have until Tuesday to get this done, but ideally I'd like to take care of it tomorrow morning if possible.n nThanks for your time,n nMariana
