I am planning to install baseboard heaters in my base room (approximately 1200 sqft).

Electrical Wiring or Panel Upgrade

Lisa L. Germantown, MD

This is what I am looking to repair. Low clearance for the overhead electrical feed. It should have a 10 foot minimum clearance. Replace the wiring from the pigtail to the meter base as it is worn and frayed. Upgrade an older panel with fuses to a modern panel with circuit breakers. Upgrade an exterior outlet to GFI. The front yard lamp did not operate. It is missing its crossbar and photocell. Add GFI outlet above the kitchen countertops. Every countertop 12 inches or wider should have an outlet. There should be two 20 amp circuit breakers dedicated to the kitchen. Upgrade the first floor bathroom outlet to GFI. Provide a grounded GFI outlet for each bathroom. Each bathroom should have a dedicated 20 amp circuit breaker. Unprotected light in the storage closet is a fire hazard. Provide an outlet for the garage door opener to plug into. Extension cords shouldn't be used permanently. Upgrade garage wiring to meet code. Surface mounted wiring should be in conduit. Open ground. Too many wires for the box size. No grommets. Upgrade the basement kitchen outlets to GFI. There should be lit 3 way switches at the top and bottom of the basement stairs for a stairwell light. Open air wire splices in the attic should be made up inside of a junction box.
