Saint Gabriel County Pea Gravel FAQ

Pea gravel can best be used in paths, patios, driveways and playgrounds. They are also commonly used in landscaping and gardening projects. They are often overlooked as mulch mixtures that are used in plants, but they are not.
Maintaining a pea gravel is relatively easy. You will just have to rake the surface every now and then to keep it clean and tidy. It may sink into the soil after some time, so it is recommended to replenish at every 3 to 4 years or when you notice that they visibly sink to the ground.
Removing the snow might be challenging but can be easy when you get used to it. You will just have to shovel the snow on top of it while leaving a thin layer. Make sure that you do not disturb the gravel beneath the snow. When all that is left are the thin layers, you may now melt it with salt.

Lawn Mowing

Cristie W. Gonzales, LA

Our home sits on about an acre of land. There is a large tree in the front yard with some roots above ground. The back yard is sloped slightly and there is just one small tree in the middle that would need to be mowed around. Other than that, it's pretty clear. We are interested in having someone come out and trim the hedges around the house as well as mow our lawn weekly. We're also interested in having the property treated for wasps (I think there's a nest in one of the shrubs). We're also interested in learning about treatment options for mosquitos. There is also a fallen tree that is partially in our back yard and we'd be interested in getting an estimate on its removal. There is a creek behind our house and a tree in the woods fell from the other side of the creek and the top of the tree landed on the edge of our back yard, creating a sort of bridge over the creek. I don't even think the trunk of the tree is in our yard, just the upper limbs. But they're unsightly and I don't want my kids to get scratched by the branches as they go running by.
