Kankakee County Plumbing Repair FAQ

Yes, you can. But you have to remember that using a sealant is just a temporary solution to leakages. If you want a permanent settlement of the problem, you may call a plumber to fix the damage or replace the leaking pipe.
One of the most common impacts of delaying plumbing repair is high water bill. A single leak is estimated to add up to 10,000 gallons of wasted water in a year. Another one is it can cause potential water damage to your property. Regardless of where the leak or broken pipe is located, it can cause floodings inside or outside of your home. It can also produce moisture, mold, and mildew. Mold and mildew can cause wood to rot in your property and serious health problems to you and your family. So, whether it is just a small plumbing problem or not, you should get a plumbing repair right away.
The best way to determine if you have water leakage in any part of your home is through your water meter. Turn off all water in your home and do not use it for 20 minutes to 1 hour. Record your water meter before then compare it to the result after an hour. If it changes, there are water leaks somewhere in your plumbing system.

Plumbing Work

Gonghe D. Kankakee, IL

Entergy inspector found a gas leak around meter, but on my side. They shut off the gas line took off the meter a week ago. I hired a private plumber to check and repair leaks on the existing pipe lines, but failed to pass the city inspection (the pressure could not be hold at 25 PSI for long time). The major problem is a part (about 100 feet) of gas pipe is buried under ground and got rusted during last 40 years. Could you re-routing the gas pipe line? The new line (1 inch steel pipe) will set in open space around the house and is about 55 to 60 feet with four 90 degree turns. Or make your plan when you come.
