The cost of the tile project will vary based on the sub flooring that will be used as the base of the tiles. Laying floors on an uneven cement floor will take additional time and resources, which will make it more expensive. Laying the tiles on an even cement floor is more ideal and less labor intensive, therefore, it will be less costly. Suwanee County Tile Installation FAQ

There are many options that are available since tiles are made using many types of materials. This includes marble, quartz, limestone, ceramic, travertine, porcelain and stone. You also have the option of buying mass produced or art sculpted tiles or hand colored tiles. Due to the variations of tiles that are available, costs also vary and can even end up even being more expensive than the cost of labor.
One of the first things you should consider is seeing the contractor's portfolio. This will let you know what kind of work they can do. You can also talk to former clients that the contractor has worked for. Before settling on one contractor, it is also advisable that you get quotes from several Suwanee tile installation contractors first before making your final decision. Check out reviews left by other people about the contractors that you want to hire. Only hire contractors who have been highly reviewed by several people.
When choosing which type of tile to install, consider the composition of the tile, as well as its strength. This is essential depending on which room in the house it will be installed in. For frequently used areas, tiles made from clay are hard enough to withstand the daily wear and tear that they will be subjected to. Softer and less durable tiles, like ceramic, can be installed in low traffic areas of the house, such as bathrooms. Softer tiles also cost much less than harder tiles.

Install shower tiles (porcelain) DIAGNOLLY (size of tiles 12 X 24) with MINIMAL GROUT. There is a small window and 2 shampoo/soap cubby next to each other. Around these areas and the shower door area bullnose have to installed (not sure yet; if can be done nicely without bullnose that will be fine). There will be some mosaic pattern to be also installed on the wall (about 6 of them about 12X12 sq inches). The shower floor will have black mosaic porcelain tiles. All tiles installation will have minimal grout exposure (can use 1/8th spacers). The shower area is approximately 138 sq. feet. Install tiles on bathroom floor (5 X 7 sq feet). This also will be DIAGNOLLY placed with NO GROUT AT ALL. There will be one center piece mosaic tile (12 X 12 sq inches) to be installed on the floor. This mosaic can have grout. The base board have to be done with the same floor tiles, about 6 " high. All tiles and spacers will be provided. Contractor will provide the black grout (with and without sand) and cement or whatever else is needed to install the tiles. Expectation: A meticulous finish and job to be completed within a week (no more). The walking area must be covered and protected as much as possible. All clean up to be done at end of the day.

we want to get a comparison price for a local tile installer to do a 400 square foot kitchen and dinning room and nook area. We have a home depot estimate but are not sure to go with them as they seem to be fragmented in the actual tile installment because they use a separate measuring company and then a separate tile installer and they each have separate duties and we do no like the miscommunication from each and/or the estimated pricing schemes. thank you.
