I live in a apt. The entrance door isn't latching properly and every time I contact the office they send the maintenance team to fix it and when they do it usually latches but never lasts the entire day. Now do you have any idea what might be the issue? Is it weather related or residents messing with the lock so it won't latch properly? What do people do so it doesn't close besides stick coins, sticks, or rocks in the inside of the door so it won't latch at all? Is there anything I can try to fix it? I mean it doesn't close at all. The lip of the door (part that goes in and out when you pull the handle down and up) just sits on the edge of the flap (silver part that holds the door locked).
