Fair price breakdown

For a small deck project, a reliable San Diego deck builder can be hired at approximately $3,653 to $5,309 per hour rate. That does not include materials and the deck plan. If you are on a tight budget, you can shave off 30% off the total cost of your deck building project if you purchase all the materials and transport them to your home yourself. However, that could be risky as you might buy an additional number of materials that may not be used and would end up costing you more. For large deck projects, you can hire a deck builder and enter into a fixed rate agreement.

Find the Best Costs on Deck Builder - San Diego, 92101

In a fixed rate contract, a deck builder in San Diego will get a cost estimate of all the materials, tools, hiring sub-contractors if necessary, and other stuff that will be needed for your project. From the estimated cost, the deck builder will get a certain percentage to compute for his labor fee, add it to the total cost of the project and then will propose it to you on a lump sum. So for example, if the estimated cost of your project is $10,000, then the deck builder may charge you $1,200 including his 20% labor fee. This agreement is mostly recommended for small housing projects like a deck since it will cover all facets of the construction work. However, it is highly advisable that you get bids or estimates from at least 3 deck builders before you hire one. This way, you will have a pretty good idea of how the pricing goes and will have lots of room for negotiation and budget preparation.

Hello, I am looking to build a yurt in the near future and would like to have someone build a foundation/deck for yurt. We are looking at building a 30ft diameter yurt and would like to place it on a deck/foundation big enough to allow for at least 5-10ft of deck space on at least 2 sides. Could you give a rough estimate to build a 40\'x40\' square deck platform?

The house has a 5 or 6 year old wood deck that was never finished. The nails are coming up and boards are warped. If possible, I would like to redo the entire deck with composite decking and a railing rather than benches around the outside. This is if the foundation of the deck is still intact, which it appears to be. If the foundation must also be redone, then I would like to discuss the possibility of expanding the deck as well.
